Demand Planner and Buyer

What you will do

Demand Planner and Buyer is a key role, reporting to the Operations Manager in Istanbul. This role ensures the cost-effective flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers and initiates purchasing orders to related factories, ensuring efficient delivery to the warehouse.

This position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The Demand Planner creates and maintains sales and purchasing forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information from the local sales organization.

The Demand Planner and Buyer integrates with the sales and commercial organization and acts as an interface with local 3PLs and manufacturing sites to ensure continuous communication of product needs and follow up on deliveries.

How you will do it

As a Demand Planner and Buyer, you will:

• Develop demand forecasts, review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and develop statistical forecast models.
• Coordinate cross-functional research to reconcile variances and refine the forecast model.
• Use and maintain Demand Planning software.
• Act as the main contact for JCH factories, ensuring effective communication.
• Develop inventory strategies, drive procurement optimization, and monitor supply chain operations.
• Manage procurement and inventory, ensuring timely order fulfillment.
• Coordinate customer action plans with supply planning and support sourcing metrics and KPIs.
