We are seeking a passionate and skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage cutting-edge data science methods to accelerate innovation and make a tangible impact on R&D initiatives.

What You’ll Do:


  • Collaborate with R&D teams to design and implement data-driven solutions across various projects.


  • Develop and apply machine learning models, including advanced methods such as deep learning and large language models, to solve complex problems.


  • Prepare, clean, and analyze data, creating meaningful visualizations and actionable insights.


  • Stay on top of the latest machine learning research and adapt cutting-edge algorithms for internal use.


  • Partner with data engineering and software development teams to build and deploy scalable models.


  • Provide consultations and proactively guide research plans with insights derived from in-house machine learning models.



What You Bring:

Education & Expertise:


  • PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related quantitative field.


  • Strong background in chemistry, physics, and materials design. Familiarity with first-principles calculations and density functional theory (DFT) is a plus.



Technical Skills:


  • 2+ years of experience in data science, including machine learning, materials research, and model deployment.


  • Proficiency in Python (libraries like Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) and experience with Linux shell scripting.


  • Experience developing machine learning models using frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or JAX.


  • Hands-on experience with generative AI, deep reinforcement learning, transfer learning, diffusion models, and transformer-based architectures.


  • Familiarity with data pipeline implementation and both front-end and back-end development.



Collaborative Skills:


  • Ability to work closely with synthetic and theoretical chemists to define project goals and identify opportunities for data science integration.


  • Strong communication skills to translate technical methods and findings into actionable insights for cross-disciplinary teams.
