About the Role


As the Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) Lead for the AMET region (Africa, Middle East, Turkey), you will play a strategic role in influencing business roadmaps and fostering consumer-centric thinking across the organization. You will lead all primary and secondary research activities within the region, providing insights that shape business strategies, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen Sanofi’s position in the Consumer Healthcare market.


This role requires a dynamic, strategic leader who can partner with senior stakeholders, inspire teams with data-driven insights, and contribute to shaping winning brand and marketing strategies across diverse markets.


Key Responsibilities


Influence Business Strategy


• Partner with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities and integrate consumer insights into business strategies.


• Act as a strategic advisor to top management, providing insights that drive business decisions across AMET.


• Collaborate with the AMET Growth Performance Hub to analyze performance metrics, market trends, and competitive landscapes.


• Evaluate marketing activities and media effectiveness through data-driven measurement methodologies.


Lead Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) Initiatives


• Develop the regional CMI roadmap aligned with strategic business objectives.


• Identify knowledge gaps and propose tailored research plans to address them.


• Ensure compliance with global CMI guidelines for all activities related to Sanofi’s global brands.


• Leverage innovative research techniques to uncover deep consumer insights that inspire business teams.


Drive Best-in-Class CMI Practices


• Share best practices globally, representing the voice of AMET consumers to influence global strategies.


• Foster a culture of continuous learning and insight-sharing across local markets within the region.


• Roll out global capabilities and tools at the local level, ensuring consistent standards and practices.


Build Strong Partnerships


• Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including brand teams, digital, market access, finance, legal, and regulatory teams.


• Collaborate closely with global CMI leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.


• Manage external partnerships with market research agencies to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery within budget.


Skills, Experience & Knowledge Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in market research within an international organization.
  • Proven track record of identifying and leveraging consumer and shopper insights to drive business growth.
  • Experience with secondary data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Nielsen, Ipsos) is required.
  • Prior healthcare or consumer health research experience is a plus.
  • Measurement expertise, including digital campaign evaluation and marketing mix modeling, is highly desirable.
  • Previous management experience is an advantage
  • Exceptional leadership with the ability to inspire, engage, and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Creativity and problem-solving mindset to drive innovation.
  • Adaptability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in Turkish or Arabic is preferred.
