Registration and Regulatory Affairs Associate Manager

Overview


The Associate Manager leads the Registration and Regulatory Compliance organization in Turkey, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate standards, and optimizing processes for efficiency and cost savings. The Associate Manager builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, resolves issues proactively, and collaborate regularly with business leaders. The role requires problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to influence stakeholders and work in an international and multi-cultural context. Strong communication skills are essential. This position reports to the AMET Registration and Regulatory Compliance Manager and is part of the GSARA (Global Safety Assessment and Regulatory Affairs organization).


Responsibilities:


  • The Associate Manager is responsible to ensure all products meet local regulatory requirements and internal and external standards
  • Deliver value through regulatory compliance and registration strategies for Turkey, including new product registrations and renewals. Ensure timely communication of outcomes, monitor processes end-to-end, and compile high-quality registration dossiers. Submit registration files and respond to post-registration queries promptly, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the registration tracker, including an accurate follow-up of registration renewals. Timely communicate gaps, risks and warning to the process.
  • Own, lead and perform the regulatory assessment process in Turkey for innovations and products renewals.
  • Lead regulatory oversight of major changes in regulations within the country; communicate and coordinate on implications and timely implementation of solutions.
  • Engage with and build strong relationships with external stakeholders and Regulatory Affairs Committees at key Trade Associations and with Health Authorities. Serve as a company regulatory representative in key technical and regulatory external forums.

Experience you’ll bring:


  • Bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, Entomology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Engineering, Pharmacy, etc) or other technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs in Turkey for one of more of the following industries: pesticides, home care and cleaning products, personal care, pharmaceuticals / medicines. Experience related to the European Union regulatory process will be a plus. Experience in the Pharmaceutical and / or pesticides industry will be highly appreciated.
  • Solid knowledge of the regulatory process for fast moving consumer goods or medicines in Turkey
  • Experience in some of the following industries will be a plus: Pest Control, Home Care and Cleaning Products, Personal Care or Pharmaceuticals with basic understanding of raw material chemistry

  • English (fluent, written and oral). Fluent written and oral Arabic will be a plus
  • Good communication skills, must be able to summarize and articulate technical information to diverse audiences both verbally and in writing in local language and in English
  • Teamwork, strong interpersonal relationships, and excellent communication skills are key to this role.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, Self-driven, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
