JOIN OUR TEAM



The Assistant Security Manager,in coordination with the Assistant Director of Security & Director of Residences, directs and supervises theteam to ensure the smooth, efficient and to standard operation of the Residences.Acting as the Manager on Duty,provides leadership and direction to the Residential team members on the shiftMaintains daily contact with individual unit homeowners, respond to their queries and solve any operational issues that arise.  



TASKS



  • Responsible for ensuring the protection of residents, guests and associates during theshift; including the security and safety of their property, building and grounds. Enforce residential rules, regulations and policies as well as the departments’ rules, policies and standards



  • Assist in people management e.g. Hiring and training of all Security team members, payroll, schedules, provide regular performance feedback, etc.



  • Function as the main Security point of contact when Assistant Director of Security is not on property



  • Respond to all emergency calls including Emergency Response team calls. Will assist in the Fire Command center/CCTV room when needed. Display complete knowledge of the fire/life System and all support systems, their functions and emergency response procedures



  • Participate and take an active role in the development and implementation of the properties Crisis Management Plan. In addition to testing the properties Fire and Emergency Response preparedness.



  • Patrol building noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards. Able walk/run upstairs carrying a fire extinguisher



  • Implement all policies and procedures regarding security and safety.



  • Share duties in Security Office / CCTV room with emergency and department phone monitoring, closed circuit television monitoring, alarm monitoring, vendor/solicitor/visitor access, and key control



  • Respond properly in any propertyemergency safety situation.



  • Be the first contact for any homeowner/tenant needs andconcerns(when theAssistant Director of Security is not on the property)ensuring the highest level of service and responsiveness



  • Coordinate and manage theoperations of the residencesBe responsible forallocating duties and delegating work within the building, continuously monitoringthe progress and ensuring that all work is kept up-to-date. Eg. Oversee cleaning of common areas,preparation for upcoming resident requests, etc.



  • Responsible for preparing, reviewing and executing contingency plans for system malfunctions and emergency situations during the overnight shifts



  • Perform daily inventory checks of supplies, keys, etc




  • Assists the Overnight Concierge with any tasks as needed, covers breaks for key FOH personnel, including Concierge



  • Assist the Director of Residencesand Assistant Director of Engineeringin maintaining the homeowners assets through weekly, monthly walk-throughs to support the preventative maintenance program on the overnight shift



  • Resolves homeowner’s complaints, handles all homeowner interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible



  • Responds to all homeowner requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with homeowners will be oven person and by phone



  • Develop service improvement ideas, policies and procedures and implement them with approval of the Director of Residences



ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Act as a liaison with all law enforcement agencies, city and federal agencies and property management associations



  • Support residentialrecognition efforts – maintain homeowner profiles keeping up to date information readily available



  • Support training efforts between the property and the supporting oversightdepartments to ensure all service requests from private residence homeowners and tenants are understood, completed in a timely manner, to the highest standards of execution.  



  • Handle all resident interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolve resident complaints; assistresidents in all inquiries in connection with the property services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, pre-arrival needs, etc.



  • Become familiar with the legal and governance responsibilitiesof the Property Manager, Property Owners and Operator, and will remedy any conflicts that occur in-keeping with the project governing documents



SKILLS AND COMPENTENCIES



  • Fluent in English, written and verbal; local language an asset



  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience




  • Must have at least 5 years previoussecurityexperience in luxury hospitality or residential property, including supervisory / management experience



  • Basic First Aid/CPR & Emergency response training



  • Ability to use a variety of computer systems to run daily reports and process homeowner requests



  • Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization on the status of security, Health & Safety issue



  • Has the emotional maturity to understand the impact and sensitivity of security issues
