Description of the role
TheRecruitment Specialist is the first smiling face employees and applicants meet upon entering into the office. This position assists with all aspects ofrecruitment process in order to identify the most talented candidates for the Hotel.
Responsibilities :
- Perform different Talent Acquisition duties such as creating and publishing job ads according to company standards, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and follow up with candidates throughout the entire hiring process.
- Conduct virtual/in person interviews for a wide range of roles (internship, line staff, and supervisory level). Conduct initial phone screen calls to create shortlists of qualified candidates for management positions.
- Complete reference background checks according to company standards, prepare employee employment verification and send out offer letters.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to set qualification criteria for future employees.
- Train and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods.
- Host, organize and participate in recruitment events.
- Partner with professional schools, universities, third party agencies in order to attract the most talented candidates.
- Complete various Workday tasks from hiring to termination and maintain and update all employee records (both electronically and hard copy files) ensuring that documentation is easily accessible and organized.
- Support the P&C Teamin the planning and attend all employee recreation programs include holiday parties, children’s party, general meetings etc.
- Maintain and updatebulletin boards in service area for sharing company information with all employees.
- Communicate any change to all P&C team and, if needed, to the Paymaster regardingemployee status changes and requests.
- Support the Director of People & Culture in preparation of reports, audits and other tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality of information in the department including conversations, personal information and medical files.
- Assist with other areas of People & Culture when needed.
Knowledge and skills
Education:
- Academic education or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Must have minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must possessexcellent personal presentation and interpersonal skillsto work with cross-functional teams, an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.
- Strong work ethic, confidentiality andwell developed organizational skills are requirements.
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Internet.
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the French and English language.
