We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer Senior to provide enterprise-level assistance to our customers.
You must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively.
What you will be doing:
As a senior technical support engineer assigned to Addvantage you will be responsible for the following:
Maintenance and tuning AddVantage systems running Microsoft Windows 2016 and 2022
Implement and support automation for customer processing
Troubleshooting critical issues such as system unavailability and system slowness
Installing and upgrading Windows OS including Windows 2016 and 2022 migrations and Domain migrations
Investigating issues with Intersystem’s Cache and\or Iris
Liaison between AddVantage Tech team and corporate network team including reviewing/monitoring network projects
Scripting tasks performed by scheduled automation ( powershell and batch )
Review and troubleshoot failed automation scripts
What you bring:
B.S. in IT/IS preferred or equivalent work experience.
Requirement for a week per month of “on-call” which is basically support beyond normal work hours. This will typically be 1 week a month and include a weekend.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 2016 and Windows 2022
Database knowledge is a plus
Service now and JIRA experience requirement
Familiarity with job automation
Knowledge of networks and network practices
Exposure to various file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, etc)
Strong customer communication skills
The ability to manage a project from start to finish
Experience working with other teams (network support, application support, client support, product)
Understanding the fundamentals of IT networks and systems
