This role involves supporting the UNHCR case management within the case processing process of UNHCR. The position requires significant interaction with refugees and asylum seekers as well as regular coordination within the different protection sub-units. * Duties and Responsibilities• Conduct individual protection assessments to facilitate the assessment of family composition• Support with the reception of refugees and asylum seekers approaching UNHCR for information and orientation• Conduct protection assessment and interviews to inform the case processing for registered asylum seekers and refugees; • Make necessary referrals to specialized protection services based on assessment outcomes and ensure follow up and accompaniment if necessary.• Assist in scheduling and planning of appointments for case processing; • Maintain accurate records of assessments and referrals and support the case processing in organizing and archiving individual files and documentation• Assist in drafting reports, routine correspondence and updating relevant databases.• Observe and respect protection related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).• Perform other related duties as required.* Minimum qualifications requiredWork experience:Mandatory: For G5 - 2 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 1-year relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higherDesirable: Previous experience working UNHCR and/or other organizations working on protection of refugees and asylum seekers is a strong advantage for this position.
