Think-it is a software engineering collective on a mission to leverage technology to regenerate our planet and advance human potential. Our global team helps organizations around the world build digital solutions for a sustainable future.
We’re partnering with brands like BMW, SoundCloud, Hala Systems, and some of the most disruptive and ambitious startups globally. With a focus on climate tech, health tech and new frontier technologies, we engage with teams who have the vision, resources, and grit required to generate a significant, meaningful impact. Our collective brings in the necessary expertise in DevOps and Cloud, Data Science and Data Engineering, and Web and Mobile Development.
Founded in 2017, Think-it is home to a diverse community of changemakers — we represent 10+ nationalities, and 40% of us are women. We’re proud to be backed by mission-aligned partners, and our goals are people- and planet-centric.
We believe that technology is most powerful when it's used to build real solutions to the ways we live, act and collaborate on this planet. Our cross-discipline teams tackle big and diverse challenges with partners around the world, and no two projects are alike.
In 2024 we want to strengthen our open source presence and unlock the future of the data economy, by contributing to the Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC) and Eclipse Tractus-X ecosystem. These open source efforts are the technological backbone for the success of open and collaborative data spaces that facilitate data exchange between organisations whilst preserving digital sovereignty and privacy. They are key to making our industries more resilient, competitive and sustainable.
The objective would be to actively contribute required features to the EDC Connector and Tractus-X open-source project. This role focuses heavily on Java development, open source contributions, and building the essential building blocks for data exchange.
These open-source engagements are extremely exciting because:
We're looking for an experienced software engineer with a solid background in Java and software architecture and the skills necessary to solve problems and delight users internally and externally.
20%: Up to you! What are you passionate about? What do you want to learn, and where else would you like to contribute?
