Job description
Overview:
As a Senior Java Developer, you will be a technical leader within the team, responsible for designing complex software systems, guiding development efforts, and mentoring junior team members. You will be expected to bring a deep understanding of software architecture, best practices, and a broad knowledge of tools and technologies to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture and Design: Lead the design and architecture of complex software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Advanced Development: Work on the most challenging aspects of the codebase, driving innovation and performance improvements.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve development processes, tools, and practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Problem Solving: Address critical issues, troubleshoot complex problems, and implement solutions that minimize downtime and impact.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Java software development, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
Skills: Expert knowledge of Java, databases, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud infrastructure. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Technical Skills: E xperience with Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST patterns, SQL (MySQL knowledge is a plus), and familiarity with MVC, Docker, Git/GitLab, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Angular 17, and GWT is desirable.
