About the Role

Are you passionate about driving innovation in the automotive industry? We are seeking an experienced Product Design Project Manager to lead exciting projects focused on the design and development of plastic components for automotive interiors and exteriors.

In this role, you will oversee project planning, quality, and customer relationships while mentoring a talented team of designers. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with leading OEMs in a dynamic and multinational environment.

What You’ll Do

• Project Management: Lead the full lifecycle of interior and exterior plastic component design projects, ensuring on-time delivery with exceptional quality and cost management.
• Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and train the design team, ensuring adherence to customer-specific processes, milestones, and tools.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, aligning deliverables with their technical and quality standards.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

Educational Background: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Proven Expertise:

• 6+ years of experience in the automotive sector, focusing on the design and development of metal sheet or plastic components (e.g., Body in White, interiors, exteriors, or lighting).
• Strong experience in design project management and working with processes and tools from leading automotive brands.

Languages and certifications:

• Fluent in English and Germany (Optional).
• PMP Certificates is a plus
