Job Description

The role


This role involves developing and executing a district sales plan, coaching and driving the sales team, forecasting budgets, and fostering customer relationships. The position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders like the marketing and brand teams to implement effective sales strategies, achieve commercial goals, and ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards. Among the main responsibilities:


  • Develop and Implement Sales Plans: Create and execute territory sales plans in alignment with the overall marketing strategy to achieve sales targets.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team, ensuring their continuous development, performance tracking, and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on sales performance, commercial effectiveness KPIs, and ensure that action plans are implemented effectively.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, including key opinion leaders (KOLs), to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
  • Budget Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare accurate sales and budget forecasts, compile market reports, and ensure the timely and accurate documentation of sales activities and sample management.

Qualifications


  • Education Requirements: A scientific university degree is essential, with an MBA or MSc being highly desirable.
  • Language Proficiency: A good command of English is ideal  (but not mandatory) to effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, is required to demonstrate a successful sales track record.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in leading or managing a sales team is important for motivating and developing team members effectively.
  • Analytical and Reporting Skills: Strong analytical skills for data interpretation, budget forecasting, and preparing market reports are essential for the role.

About the Department


The Novo Nordisk Tunisian affiliate operates with a dedicated team of nearly 40 employees, each committed to advancing the company's mission within the region. The sales department, comprising 15 individuals, plays a pivotal role in driving the company's objectives forward.


Their collective efforts are aimed at fostering better healthcare outcomes, providing education, and ensuring access to innovative diabetes care solutions. Through their unwavering dedication and expertise, the sales department embodies Novo Nordisk's commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by diabetes in Tunisia.
