As an APU Head within our Production Support team, you’llhelp in overseeing and managing the operations of the autonomous production unit (APU) within the machining plantResponsibilities:
Responsible for the management, coordination and operation of the APU organization. Makes decisions in support of the efficient operation of the organization in line with the objectives of the site and the APU. Ensure smooth manufacturing of the products manufactured in the production unit according to the client’s needs, by managing human and material resources and ensuring product quality.
Ensures cooperation with the support functions responsible for the operation of the APU. Ensures continuous development of the processes and people within the APU.
Oversee Production Operations:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing autonomus unit.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Implement and monitor production schedules to optimize efficiency.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with quality control teams to maintain product quality and safety standards.
- Prepare for and manage regulatory inspections and audits.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Manage workforce planning and development.
Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations.
- Monitor and analyze production data to drive decision-making.
Safety Management:
- Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.
Resource Management:
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet production goals.
- Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the availability of raw materials.
- Optimize the use of equipment and technology.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional qualifications in business management or operations can be beneficial.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, particularly in solid dosage forms.
- Proven track record in a leadership role, preferably with experience in managing a production unit.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in process optimization and lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
