Job Description

Context

Its immunization program aims to provide equitable vaccine access and protect populations from vaccine-preventable diseases. Within this framework, WHO in Sudan supports immunization efforts to strengthen health systems, address vulnerabilities, and achieve sustainable health outcomes.

Description of Duties

  • Develop and implement annual surveillance plans for immunization data management at state and locality levels.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data monthly to identify high-risk populations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Use GIS and other software to create dashboards and infographics for data visualization.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and build capacity for data management and reporting.
  • Support investigations of vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks, focusing on notification, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with ministries, NGOs, and communities to strengthen surveillance systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend updates for sentinel sites to meet program requirements.
  • Prepare quality reports, including monthly updates and end-of-assignment evaluations.
