Overview: As a Workshop Manufacturing Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes within the workshop, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and effectively. Your role involves managing the workflow, coordinating resources, and implementing quality control measures to optimize productivity and maintain high standards of manufacturing excellence. You will collaborate closely with production teams, engineers, and management to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational objectives.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Coordination:
- Develop production schedules, allocate resources, and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of manufacturing activities in accordance with production plans and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with production supervisors, engineers, and support staff to resolve production issues, address resource constraints, and optimize workflow efficiency.
- Manufacturing Process Oversight:
- Monitor manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and workflow execution to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and production targets.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement, and implement corrective actions or process refinements as needed.
- Quality Assurance and Control:
- Implement quality control measures, inspection procedures, and testing protocols to verify product quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis, address non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain product quality and meet customer expectations.
- Resource Management:
- Manage the allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials to support production activities and meet production schedules while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure availability of raw materials, components, and supplies required for manufacturing operations.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and workplace safety practices to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel.
- Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and safety training programs to promote awareness and prevent accidents or injuries in the workshop.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Kaizen events, 5S programs, and lean manufacturing projects, to optimize processes, eliminate waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Solicit feedback from production teams, gather performance metrics, and analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
