Description
ROLES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
• To conduct all materials management activities safely and in accordance with
the Company’s Warehouse and HSE policies.
• Apply the provisions of the Quality Management System (QMS), particularly
with respect to the Purchase and Equipment Standards module.
• To manage the receipt, storage, usage, return and replenish supply of
consumables and capital items on the rig and camp.
• To ensure the storage and handling of any hazardous materials in accordance
with Company policy, manufacturers recommendations and local legislations.
• To produce timely reports on the inventory and usage of spares
• To conduct periodic reviews of stock levels and make recommendations for
changes
• To advise the Rig Manager and Maintenance team of any issues related to
materials management which could merit their attention.
• Carry out all duties in the safest possible manner and ensure that personal
protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly.
• Maintain the warehouse inventory of spares for the rig and camp in accordance
with the procurement systems.
• Provide for security under safe lock and key of the spares inventory
• Ensure that all items in inventory are properly stored, those in particular, such
as BOP consumables or electronic components which require dark and/or airconditioned storage, and hazardous goods such as paints which require
separate storage
• Monitor the maximum safe storage periods for any items which have prescribed
shelf life limits
• Initiate proper forecasting for the spares inventory or capital items together with
the respective department head at rig site.
• Amend the rig inventory system to include spares for additional capital
equipment installed on the rig
• Amend the Operational Asset Database (OAD) for the rig or cost center to
reflect additions or removal in conjunction

Electrician and Base Asset coordinator
• Arrange for Materials Transfers (MTs) for movement of materials to and from
other SANAD rigs
• Ensure that all purchasing is carried out to the highest ethical standards
• Monitor progress reports of outstanding request.
• Produce monthly inventory and financial reports of stock levels, issues, receipts,
adjustments and values
• Keep records of materials movements and inventory levels, issues and produce
reports to the Area Office in a format which meets fiscal requirements for
reporting purposes
• Carry out receiving function for equipment deliveries and unpack and take into
inventory
• Arrange for local purchases where they are feasible
• Develop, with the Driller, Mechanic and Electrician, a list of items to be kept on
the rig outside of the warehouse for 24 hour use and arrange for recording of
consumption and replenishment as required
• Carry out bi-annual audits of rig stocks and produce reports to the Rig Manager
making recommendations on changes to inventory levels, re-ordering quantities
etc.
• Discuss regularly with the Rig Manager forthcoming rig operations and any
impact they may have on spares usage.
• Secure all spares for handling and transit of the rig warehouse during rig moves
• Maintain personal training and in particular keep knowledge of SANAD systems.
• Provide on the job training for Trainee Storekeepers or warehouse personnel
• Participate actively in Rig Safety Meetings.
• Provide assistance to SANAD’s other business units on issues pertinent to job
function; participate in performing routine checks and inspections to ensure the
highest safety and quality standards are being maintained if required
• Take care of health, safety and environmental impact both personally, and for
others who may be affected in the workplace.
• Cooperate with the Company and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal
and company requirements
• Adapt to, and participate in, any programs/changes in SANAD including but not
limited to strategic initiatives, operational initiatives and performance uplift
tasks; conduct any relevant work that may result from these changes as an
integral part of this job description and employment contract
• Perform any other activity as required by the company both at the company
premises and remotely when requested by the company
• Proactively seek out information that is relevant to job role whether internally or
externally to be efficiently deliver.
• Remain up to date with context of the Company and the role within it to provide
insight on potential opportunities and/or challenges
• Contribute to the execution and delivery of any activities as and when required
to ensure the continuity of work in the absence of other colleagues.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge and Experience:
• Excellent understanding of inventory management practices.
• 3+ Years’ Oil & Gas field service experience in material handling
Education and Certifications:
• Mandatory: Bachelors’ degree in the same filed or similar.
