• To manage and develop the team on a day to day basis to ensure all Service Level and Stock Turn targets are maintained within the agreed KPI expectations, whilst managing stocks levels within the agreed budgetary constraints, including delegation where appropriate.
• To manage the supplier base and monitor them against the agreed inbound performance targets and take corrective action where necessary.
• To identify and participate in opportunities which will improve the quality and efficiency of the overall supply chain.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports and website information as required.
• To attend all Management and Team meetings as including deputizing for the control tower Manager when required.
• Team leaders oversee the activities of supply and demand planning and inventory management personnel. Logistics team leaders develop and maintain schedules, onboard new hires, and set department goals based on company expectations. They also evaluate employee performance to ensure that the entire team runs efficiently while providing guidance to make team members more effective.
• Arrange/provide on the job training to new Inventory staff as required, conducting all necessary assessments.
• Effectively communicate with all relevant DHL personnel on a day to day basis to ensure the resolution of Inventory issues in a timely manner, escalating where necessary.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring that changes in inventory are promptly and accurately recorded in internal supply chain systems. In the case of an inventory discrepancy, team leaders confer with team members and across departments to determine the source of the issue and resolve it.
• College Graduate (Operations/Industrial/Business)
• Minimum of 2 years experience of team management in a corporate environment
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communicator (verbal & written)
• Good Computer skills
