Warehouse Helper

Job Summary:

The main objective of the Warehouse helper position is to assist the warehouse clerk in general operations of the warehouse operation, following manufacturing procedures and good practices.

The warehouse helper shall have as its activities preponderant the audits of the assortment of manufacturing orders, the loading and unloading of raw material or FG as required, as well as its accommodation in the different locations intended for them. Must ensure that the site is clean and properly organized. Similarly, the warehouse assistant in coordination with the warehouse clerk will participate in the preparation of production orders for the supply of inventory to the production lines and in the monitoring to maintain the good condition of the materials. You must also take all necessary precautions to ensure the well-being of your person and colleagues, respecting good storage practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform audits of manufacturing order assortment, physical quantity vs. quantity filled in DHR.
• Collaborate with warehouse clerk in production order making.
• To help maintain order and cleanliness of the work area.
• Make the material handling either in rack or in stowage.
• Verify the documents, quantity and contents of the products used for the assortment on orders as well as the receiving of materials to be placed in the warehouse.
• Proper storage of finished products and/or sub-assemblies in the areas assigned by the warehouse responsible.
• Load and unload trailers in receiving and shipping areas.
• Delivery of orders to the production area.
• To be in compliance with quality system procedures.
• Be in compliance with Safety Standards.
• To comply with the internal labor regulations.
• Keep components and tools needed for the job available.
• Use appropriate manual load handling techniques.
• Report unsafe conditions to the warehouse supervisor

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience: 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Have previous experience in warehouse operations.
• Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication.
• Ability to handle 50 lbs. loads

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of assembly and/or warehouse operations.
• Manual and visual ability to work with small pieces.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment.

Education:

• Minimum Middle School, Preferred High School
