In this role, you will establish and manage Planning & Operations Division activities, in order to ensure and deliver on the Cross-divisional mandate and identify improvement opportunities that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs by the Trade and Marketing Divisions, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for:
Manage the design and implementation of the BU’s strategy, business plan and roadmap by providing function-specific inputs as well as cross-divisional inputs
Establish and implement the Division’s operational plans in support of the BU’s overall strategic plan and KPIs
Manage cross-divisional BU annual budgeting cycle and process
Oversee utilizing Planning & Operations Division’s budget effectively, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
Investigate and propose implementing strategies that result in positive financial impact for STA and mitigate financial and operational risks
Finalize budget requirements basis business plan and get requisite approvals
Ensure sufficient capacity planning to support implementation of strategy and provide a world class visitor experience throughout the year
Finalize sales targets for the region, working with commercial CoE to ensure alignment to overall strategy
Lead localizing research from various CoEs and feed research data and output from within the region into the data warehouse for use across STA
Ensure conducting proper research and analyze sources and destination markets, foresee market/segment sizing and develop demand projections
Manage, monitor and report on sales and distributions of various products in the respective geography
Ensure track and report on consumer response to marketing campaigns across channels to inform future decision making
Oversee and report on trade operations and marketing activities performance against agreed KPIs set by the relevant CoE
Manage & execute assigned projects under supervision of PMO
Propose improvements to the BU’s Planning & Operations Division’s policies, and ensure the implementation of procedures and controls across all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results
Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes taking into account leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement
Manage, guide and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures
Participate in identifying and recruiting key talent for Planning & Operations Division
Promote a high-performance working environment embracing STA’s values
Build and maintain solid relations with externals stakeholders such as governmental entities and consultants to serve STA’s best interest
Provide assistance across the organization and support peers when needed to perform their duties
Approve reports and presentations related to Planning & Operations Division activities and achievements for reporting and decision-making
Perform other activities as and when required
You will need:
At least 16 years of experience in business planning in the Tourism/Hospitality industry or other relevant fields
A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent is required
A master’s degree in Business Management, or Hospitality Management & Tourism, or equivalent is preferred   
Bachelor degree in any relevant area
