Vessel Traffic System Engineer

Eram Talent is looking for a dedicated Vessel Traffic System Engineer to join our esteemed team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Vessel Traffic Systems (VTS) to enhance maritime safety and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders including marine authorities, shipping companies, and technology providers.

Your expertise will play a key role in supporting safe navigation and traffic management in busy waterways, ensuring that vessels operate effectively and securely.

• Design and develop VTS applications and systems to facilitate real-time vessel monitoring.
• Provide VTMS (AIS) training to VTC and other TMD staffs. Maintenance of VTMS system and other related equipment. Provide support of VTMS for the Marine Operations in updating the chart of the VTS systems. Provide support of VTMS during activation of ECC and during drills.
• Upgrade & update VTMS hardware and network related, Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair VTMS hardware and network related problems.
• Conduct risk assessments and analyze traffic patterns to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored VTS solutions.
• Maintain and upgrade existing VTS systems to ensure compliance with international standards.
• Provide technical support and training for VTS operators and stakeholders.
• Conduct performance assessments and implement enhancements as necessary.
• Keep abreast of advancements in maritime technology and integrate relevant innovations into VTS operations.
