Vendor Management Director
In this role you will be responsible for managing the Vendor Management activities, in order to ensure and deliver on the Department’s mandate and identify improvement opportunities that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs, agreed budgets, and adopted policies and procedures as well as coordinate the implementation and administration of the operations strategic plan and facilitates enterprise-wide project management to operationalize the delivery of strategic and organizational goals
You will be responsible for
Identify profitable suppliers and develop commercial and organizational strategic alliances to guarantee that STA receives favorable terms and services
Assure the vendor management team continues to have productive working connections with strategic suppliers in order to build long-lasting relationships
Create and manage a large database of suppliers and vendors for all categories to aid in the rapid vendor fulfilment and communication
Develop needed processes for potential vendors to follow in order to submit required documents and information for evaluation and selection
Ensure compliance against the procurement plan throughout the year and receive reports on compliance against the procurement plan throughout the year
Apply vendor selection programs and criteria to identify and secure the top vendors and segment them properly
Establish criteria for evaluating the performance of authorized vendors and explain to vendors their duties and obligations to ensure continuous alignment with expectations
Create vendor performance evaluations to make sure all vendors are up to standards and prepare periodic reviews and reports
Ensure stakeholders and concerned parties are informed of contract additions / terminations by generating regular update reports and meetings
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that the supplier payment process is timely and correct
Maintain a positive working relationship with suppliers by managing any issues or concerns brought up by them and ensuring that they are promptly resolved
Perform other activities as and when required.
