Job Description

System Installation and Setup:

  • Installation: Install and configure video conferencing equipment and software, ensuring that all components are correctly set up and integrated.
  • Setup: Prepare and test video conferencing systems before meetings and events to ensure readiness and functionality.

Technical Support:

  • Event Support: Provide on-site or remote technical support during video conferencing events, including troubleshooting any issues that arise to ensure smooth operation.
  • Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to video conferencing systems, including hardware malfunctions, software glitches, and connectivity problems.

System Maintenance:

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks on video conferencing equipment, including updates, software patches, and hardware checks.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly address and resolve technical issues to minimize disruptions and ensure the reliability of video conferencing systems.

User Assistance:

  • Support: Assist users with questions or problems related to video conferencing systems, providing guidance and technical support as needed.
  • Training: Offer basic training to users on how to operate video conferencing equipment and use related software effectively.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of video conferencing system configurations, maintenance activities, and support incidents.
  • Reporting: Report on system performance, support activities, and any issues to the VCS Supervisor.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all video conferencing activities comply with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols related to the use and handling of video conferencing equipment and ensure that the work environment is safe.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Technology Awareness: Stay informed about the latest advancements in video conferencing technology and recommend improvements or updates as necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of video conferencing systems and processes.
