Job Description:


You as a Transport & Logistics Planner will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Responsible and accountable for order handling and shipments all over the world and ensure that deliveries arrive to the destination at the right time with the right documentation, working includes contacts internally and with customers and freight forwarders, planning and booking of transports and production of documents for deliveries, you handle goods supply issues daily via telephone, teams application and emails, this means that you are an important link and coordinator between our customers, internal functions of freight forwarders and agents and performing the tasks must always follow the regulations and routines regarding quality and safety as well as legal aspects and role includes routine work tasks but also problem solving and continuous improving.


Your responsibilities          


  • Handling the transport process from packed material to delivery at customer, including planning, booking, and monitoring.
  • Preparing shipping documents and evaluate suppliers' documents.
  • Fulfilling shipping, packing, and marking procedures per project requirements and in compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Working together with internal project, suppliers, forwarders, and customer representatives to ensure a smooth shipping process.
  • Representing logistic team in project teams and take responsibility for all shipments in projects within your responsibility.
  • Ensuring project timelines and transportation budget are met and ensure compliance of shipping with all local and Global Regulations.

Your background             


  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field is required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in area of transport, shipping, and logistics is required.
  • Great collaboration skills and motivated by working in a multicultural and challenging global business environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to handle several tasks in parallel under stress and pressure
  • Energetic, curious, and self-confident with strong sense of ownership and maturity to challenge themself and the organization for continuous improvement and changes.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
