Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Tender Department Manager to lead our infrastructure projects, including road construction, bridges, and flyovers. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the same field and will be responsible for managing the entire tendering process for large-scale infrastructure construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Preparation and Submission:
- Lead the preparation of tender documents, including technical and financial proposals.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Ensure all tenders are compliant with client requirements and company standards.
- Review and analyze tender documents to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Cost Estimation and Breakdown:
- Estimate all costs prior to tender submissions, including materials, labor, equipment, and other resources.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdown structures for tender proposals.
- Inquire and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for the entire project, considering all work processes and potential variations.
- Build and deliver the project budget to the execution team, ensuring it aligns with the project’s scope and requirements.
Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:
- Conduct market research to identify new tender opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with project management, engineering, finance, and legal teams to develop comprehensive tender proposals.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among all stakeholders involved in the tendering process.
- Organize and lead tender review meetings and presentations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all tenders comply with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Identify and assess risks associated with tender submissions and propose mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of all tender documents and correspondence.
Post-Tender Activities:
- Follow up on submitted tenders and engage with clients during the evaluation process.
- Provide detailed feedback and analysis on tender outcomes.
- Assist in contract negotiations and finalization when tenders are successful.
