An exciting opportunity is available in Slagger Company for Technician, Furnace Mechanical Based in Jizan.
About the role:
To perform/determine maintenance activities on company assets. The role holder works under supervision and is authorized to conduct an initial review and to sign off on completed tasks using the related IT system. Assist the technicians at Stage A to facilitate completion of tasks as defined quality and HSE standards.
You will be responsible for:
- Create and maintain a working environment for people to achieve excellence in their working environment
- Approach all aspects of the work being performed with safety as the highest priority.
- Escalate issues to his superior for work which does not appear to be valid or costly.
- Review the work to be performed and determine the best way to accomplish the work. They will consult with applicable Supervisors, Production Supervisors, Planner/Schedule and Stores as necessary.
- Monitoring and commissioning plants and systems.
- Continuously improves the job estimate, planning and scheduling by receiving feedback from maintenance supervisors, production supervisors, engineers and production planners.
- Manage a backlog of work orders which require a major or significant portion of the facility to be shutdown.
- Troubleshooting including overhaul the pumps, Gearboxes, Fans, conveyor belts, screw feeders, valves and heat exchangers.
- Provide job estimates based on craft or skills required, sequence required, and number required.
- Discussing and solving complex problems with production departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.
- Good experience in conveyor belt maintenance with tracking the conveyor in case of misalignment.
- Demonstrated ability to remove and install bearings, shafts and seals.
- Verifies of all material, information, tools and labor are available prior to commencement of work.
- Demonstrated ability read and understand accurate instructions of PMs and corrective work order.
- Has good experience in assembly and dismantling the bearings and its lubrication.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment to facilitate proper operating conditions of assets and adherence to defined industrial standards.
- Maintain inventory of non-stock and selected items required to ensure continued operability of equipment.
- Perform diagnostic procedures on plant equipment to identify cause and determine needed repairs and conduct more complex maintenance tasks/repair on assigned assets – in a specific discipline.
- Receive regular attention and direction from the supervisor on required duties and priorities. Will consult senior colleagues about acquisition of spare parts, materials and consumables in line with delegation of authority.
- Provide prompt response to on-call requests within the guidelines and standards of maintenance to ensure timely and effective up time.
- Report any deficiencies on equipment through proper communication channels and reporting.
- Ability to use measurements tools and equipment.
- Regularly contribute towards the training of various trainees in the department to ensure the availability of competent technicians in the future.
- Good knowledge of dealing with lubrication systems and able to change oil and filter in proper way.
Minimum Qualification:
Diploma degree in Mechanical.
Minimum Experience:
5 years of experience or more in manufacturing environment.
Required Skills:
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to do Troubleshooting in Hydraulic systems.
- Ability to do Troubleshooting including overhaul the pumps, Gearboxes, Fans, conveyor belts, screw feeders, valves and heat exchangers.
- Demonstrated ability to remove and install bearings, shafts, and seals.
- Ability to do alignment in-between Motor and pumps, Gearboxes, Fans, pulleys.
- Ability to do alignment in conveyor belts.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand accurate instructions of PMs and corrective work order.
- Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to use measurements tools and equipment.
- Knowledge and understands the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling and storeroom processes.
- Qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician
- Extensive experience of workshop activity.
- SAP proficiency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
