Job Description
The Vehicle Technician role is critical in maintaining the operational efficiency of the fleet by ensuring that all vehicles are repaired promptly and are ready for distribution. This position requires a dedicated individual with a strong background in automotive maintenance and repair, particularly in addressing issues related to air conditioning systems in vehicles and trailers. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and conducting inspections to guarantee that vehicles meet safety and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, showcasing their ability to work on various types of vehicles, including small cars, heavy vehicles, and buses.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs on all company vehicles to ensure they are operational and ready for distribution.
- Adhere to job cards and follow established procedures for vehicle maintenance.
- Assist in the rescue and recovery of vehicles that have broken down.
- Report any drivers who fail to comply with company policies and procedures.
- Diagnose air conditioning unit faults in vehicles and trailers and perform necessary repairs.
- Conduct basic servicing on split and multi air conditioning units to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect vehicles before releasing them after repairs and report findings to the head mechanic.
- Monitor and ensure that the breakdown rate of vehicles does not exceed 15%.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and vehicle reliability.
Preferred Candidate:
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance practices.
- Experience working with a diverse range of vehicles, from small cars to heavy-duty buses.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems and air conditioning repairs.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
