Plans,
organizes, and coordinates fire training programs ensuring training resources
and aids are fit for purpose and in accordance with NFPA, ICAO, IFTSA and RSAF
standards.
Train
RSAF personnel and trainees to include both grade 20 and 30.
Physically
and medically fit to train students on all practical aspects in firefighting and
structural.
Performs
theoretical training in a classroom setting.
Performs
technical evaluation of RSAF trainees.
Demonstrates
the ability and competency of using the computer and Microsoft Office packages.
Work
tasks may be performed in hazardous and extreme adverse conditions.
Able to
demonstrate the proper operation of fire vehicles, equipment, training
simulators, computers and classroom aids.
Aircraft
and Structural Rescue Firefighting skillset:
Highly
skilled Fire Protection Specialist/ Instructor.
Minimum
10 years' experience in a fire service
Minimum
3 years' experience as instructor/trainer.
Have
served as fire supervisor and trainer on a military/civil airfield.
Perform
all aspects of ARFF and structural theory and practical fire fighter training.
Excellent
ability to communicate effectively in English, either verbally, written or
using electronic media.
Familiar
with NFPA, ICAO, IFSTA procedures and regulations.
Familiar
with ARFF and Structural Fire vehicle pumps and operations.
Have a
license to drive and operate specialized fire vehicles.
A
medical qualification in level 3 first aid or higher will be advantageous.
