As a Technical Account Manager, you will guide customers through their Google Cloud transformation journey, providing technical leadership, managing project timelines, and driving adoption by addressing strategic and operational challenges. The role also involves advocating for customer needs to address adoption challenges, fostering long-term relationships with stakeholders through business reviews and strategic sessions, planning product launches and customer events, and creating best practices to enhance processes and accelerate Google Cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities of a Technical Account Manager:




Lead Cloud Adoption and Implementation
Guide customers through their Google Cloud transformation journey, ensuring successful adoption of Google Cloud products.Provide technical leadership, manage project timelines, and develop tailored business strategies for customer success.


Customer Advocacy and Solution Development
Act as an advocate for customer needs, working with Google teams to address adoption blockers and suggest new feature developments.Translate business requirements into technological solutions that align with customer goals.


Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including enterprise leadership.Lead quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions to align Google Cloud services with customer needs.


Project Coordination and Delivery
Plan and execute product launches, customer events, and other initiatives by collaborating with teams like Support, Site Reliability Engineering, and other cross-functional groups.Ensure smooth delivery of cloud consulting engagements by coordinating between dispersed, cross-functional teams.


Process Improvement and Knowledge Sharing
Develop best practices and reference assets based on customer engagements to streamline processes and accelerate Google Cloud adoption.Share insights and lessons learned to contribute to the broader success.


Collaboration with Ecosystem Partners
Work closely with channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver impactful cloud solutions.


Technical and Operational Expertise
Support customers in areas like cloud operations, launch or capacity planning, product release management, technical support, and escalation management.Provide guidance on IT operations, database systems, networking, IT security, application development, and cloud-native solutions.



These responsibilities ensure that the TAM not only facilitates a smooth adoption of Google Cloud services but also builds long-term, strategic relationships with customers to support their digital transformation goals.
