Job Description

  1. Prepare and file federal and state tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations to minimize tax liabilities.
  2. Conduct thorough tax research to identify potential deductions, credits, and opportunities for tax savings tailored to individual client situations.
  3. Collaborate with clients to gather required documentation and provide expert advice on tax planning strategies that align with their financial goals.
  4. Review financial statements and accounting records to ensure accurate reporting and proper tax treatment of various transactions.
  5. Assist in the preparation of tax provision calculations and disclosures for financial statement reporting under relevant accounting standards.
  6. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate these changes effectively to clients to enhance their compliance and strategic planning.
  7. Support clients during tax audits by preparing necessary documentation and representing them in discussions with tax authorities.
  8. Identify and implement process improvements in tax compliance and reporting workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  9. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive service in addressing their tax-related concerns.
  10. Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on tax principles and practices to foster their professional growth and development.
