Job SummaryWe are seeking a Systems Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience in Desktop Support for a hybrid remote work model. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and ensure the smooth operation of desktop systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to the team.Responsibilities- Provide technical support for desktop systems ensuring all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.- Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of desktop hardware and software.- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktop systems both remotely and on-site as needed.- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement solutions for desktop support challenges.- Maintain accurate records of all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.- Ensure all desktop systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates.- Assist in the development and implementation of desktop support policies and procedures.- Conduct regular system audits to identify and address potential issues before they impact users.- Provide training and support to end-users to help them effectively use desktop systems and software.- Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements as needed.- Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of desktop systems with other technologies.- Participate in the planning and execution of desktop system upgrades and migrations.- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in desktop support and systems engineering.Qualifications- Possess a strong understanding of desktop support principles and practices.- Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to desktop systems.- Have experience with remote desktop support tools and techniques.- Show excellent communication skills both written and verbal.- Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.- Have a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.- Display a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Certifications Required- CompTIA A+ Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateCognizant is one of the world's leading professional services companies, transforming clients' business, operating, and technology models for the digital era.
