Job Description
Key Role: The Surveyor Engineer will be responsible for
performing and managing all surveying activities required to design and
construct a landmark museum project in Mecca. This includes ensuring accurate
measurements, precise layouts, and proper alignment of all project elements.
The Surveyor Engineer will play a critical role in translating design plans
into on-site execution, ensuring that construction aligns with approved
specifications and tolerances.
Responsibilities
Surveying and Measurements- Conduct detailed land and building surveys to establish
reference points, elevations, and property boundaries.
- Provide accurate site measurements for layout and
positioning of structural, architectural, and mechanical elements.
- Verify that the topographical conditions align with the
approved design plans.
Construction Layout and Alignment- Translate design drawings into on-site layouts, ensuring
precise alignment and levels for foundations, walls, and other structural
components.
- Monitor and adjust layouts during construction to address
any changes or discrepancies.
- Ensure construction works are executed within the specified
tolerances and coordinates.
Quality Control and Compliance- Conduct regular checks to confirm that the on-site work
matches the approved specifications and standards.
- Report deviations from approved plans and propose corrective
measures to maintain alignment with project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and
standards.
Data Collection and Reporting- Use advanced surveying tools and software to collect,
analyze, and interpret data for design and construction.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of survey results,
including sketches, maps, and reports.
- Provide periodic progress reports and documentation for
project stakeholders.
Collaboration and Coordination- Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to
ensure survey results align with project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with construction teams to implement
survey findings on-site.
- Assist in resolving site-related issues and provide
technical input when required.
Specialized Museum Requirements- Ensure precision in survey work for areas requiring
specialized installations, such as exhibit spaces, storage areas, and visitor
pathways.
- Account for the specific challenges of the museum’s location
and design, including integration with existing terrain and structures.
Use of Advanced Tools and Technologies- Operate and maintain modern surveying equipment, such as
GPS, total stations, and laser scanners.
- Utilize CAD and other mapping software to create detailed
and accurate representations of survey data.
Recommended Technical Skills- Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment (e.g., GPS,
total stations, theodolites, and laser scanners).
- Strong knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D,
MicroStation) and GIS tools.
- Experience in interpreting and applying construction
drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and
standards related to surveying.
- Competence in creating and maintaining topographic and
as-built surveys.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data accurately and
efficiently.

Minimum Experience- At least 5 years of experience in similar projects,
specializing in on-site work and ensuring adherence to approved specifications.
