  • Negotiate with suppliers and ensure adherence to contract terms and agreements.
  • Evaluate supplier offers to secure the best prices and services.
  • Select and approve new suppliers and review the performance of existing suppliers.
  • Organize the transportation of products from suppliers to storage or distribution sites.
  • Organize transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve transport efficiency and reduce associated costs.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to transportation operations.
  • Manage and organize storage operations to ensure the availability of materials and products safely and securely.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to reduce waste.
  • Manage the receipt, storage, and handling of raw materials and products efficiently, preventing spoilage.
  • Ensure the safety and quality of stored materials and their availability when needed.
  • Manage logistics operations, including customs clearance, tracking, and distribution.
  • Lead research and development initiatives to improve supply and logistics operations and innovate new products and solutions.
  • Coordinate with research and development teams to implement process improvement projects.

Skills

  • Proven experience in supply and logistics management, preferably in the building materials industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Leadership abilities to manage and develop a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and logistics best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
