Team Leadership and Supervision:Team Management:Supervise, train, and mentor a team of electricians, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle electrical tasks.Assign tasks and provide clear instructions to team members, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve the team's performance.Scheduling and Coordination:Coordinate work schedules and allocate resources to meet project deadlines and operational needs.Oversee daily activities of the electrical team to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.Ensure adequate staffing levels and respond to emergency repair needs as they arise.Electrical Maintenance and Repairs:Preventive Maintenance:Oversee the planning and execution of preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems, including inspections, testing, and replacements of components.Ensure all electrical equipment, wiring, panels, and systems are inspected regularly to avoid malfunctions or failures.Troubleshooting and Repairs:Lead the team in troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective repairs or solutions.Ensure all repairs are performed efficiently, reducing downtime and maintaining the overall safety of the facility.Installation and Upgrades:Electrical Installations:Supervise the installation of electrical systems and components for new construction, renovations, or upgrades.Ensure that electrical installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.Upgrades and Modifications:Manage electrical upgrades or modifications to meet evolving operational needs.Oversee the installation of new equipment, lighting systems, control panels, and other electrical components.Ensure that all electrical modifications are completed safely and efficiently.Safety and Compliance:Safety Protocols:Ensure that all electrical work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations, including adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and other safety laws.Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as insulated gloves, safety glasses, and helmets.Ensure that electrical systems are properly grounded and all work is done in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.Risk Management:Assess and mitigate electrical hazards in the workplace.Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards or areas of concern.Ensure compliance with all legal and environmental regulations related to electrical work.Project Planning and Execution:Project Oversight:Lead electrical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all work is executed according to project plans, schedules, and budgets.Coordinate with other departments (e.g., operations, construction) to ensure electrical work aligns with overall project goals and timelines.Resource Management:Manage the procurement and allocation of electrical materials, tools, and equipment necessary for daily operations and projects.Ensure that the team has access to the right resources and tools to perform tasks effectively and safely.Documentation and Reporting:Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance, repairs, installations, and inspections.Update electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to reflect changes or upgrades to electrical systems.Reporting:Prepare and submit regular reports on electrical system performance, maintenance activities, repairs, and safety inspections.Provide feedback and recommendations to upper management for improvements to electrical systems or processes.Training and Development:Training:Organize and deliver training programs to electricians on new technologies, safety procedures, and electrical systems.Keep the team updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices.Professional Development:Encourage continuous learning and professional development to improve the skills and knowledge of electrical staff.Support team members in obtaining relevant certifications or licenses.
