OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
As the Mine Production Superintendent, reporting to the Mine Manager, you will oversee all mining operations performed by contractors, ensuring safety regulations are met. This position requires an extensive understanding of mining operations, including drill and blast, load and haul activities, to be a strong communicator, approachable and a passionate leader of people.

Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or a related field
More than 10 years mining experience (minimum 5 years in similar position)

Understanding of gold mineralization in open pit
Good experience with operation of hydraulic machines (shovel/excavators, trucks, graders and dozers).
Extensive experience in open pit: in-depth knowledge of open mining operations and techniques, including safety protocols, dewatering strategies, and environmental management.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Proven leadership and managerial skills
English proficiency
Good report writing skills
5. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Develop and execute the production plans focusing on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure production plans align with technical mine plans to meet targets.
Oversee daily operations to maintain quality standards, conducting regular inspections and audits, and maintaining detailed records for accountability and improvement.
Monitor operational costs, analyze financial reports to identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost-control measures while maintaining productivity and safety.
Developing, Implementing, reinforcing, and ensuring a safe working environment through compliance to safety standards and protocols of Ma’aden.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Collaborating with various departments to coordinate activities and resolve operational challenges
Lead and develop mine supervisors to achieve a high level of execution.
Offer strategic advice on complex mining challenges, and ensure activities align with best practices.
