The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focused Structural Engineer with 3- 5 years of experience to be based at our Riyadh office. We are looking for structural engineers who are passionate about creative design and structural analysis, are interested in complex structures and the challenges that come with them and have strong digital engineering and modelling skills.
You will be working with us on the design of some of the most exciting and prestigious projects in the MENA (Middle East North Africa) region and internationally.
You should be able to analyse problems and produce designs to solve them. The ability to make decisions in high-stress situations and to possess great written and verbal communication skills are key attributes.
You will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines, including external local engineering partners, to manage the delivery from the concept to detail design for projects.
Over time you will have the opportunity to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and will be supported towards Chartership.
The Skills
Having already been accredited to degree level (or equivalent) in Structural Engineering you will be close to being or will have recently become Chartered with IStructE or ICE. You will have gained strong practical experience of structural engineering within a consultancy environment, and a competent level of relevant IT skills including using structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE and Robot and Tekla with familiarity of working to coordinate projects using Revit/BIM 360.
You have proven ability to produce creative design solutions in multiple materials including reinforced concrete and steel . Crucially, you will have a passion for creative, sustainable and intuitive design. In addition, knowledge and practical experience of American codes such as ASCE, IBC, ACI, AISC and Saudi Building codes are required .
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
