The primary responsibility is to oversee the efficient and organized management of the Company's inventory including spare parts for plant and machinery. This entails the accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, maintaining optimal stock levels to meet operational needs.
The Storekeeper plays a crucial role in upholding safety protocols related to the handling and storage of materials, contributing to a secure and compliant working environment. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Storekeeper supports various departments by fulfilling material requisitions promptly. Maintain a well-organized and accessible inventory system which involves the systematic organization of storage areas, the implementation of efficient tagging systems, and the utilization of technology tools for accurate tracking.
➢ Accurately receive incoming materials, verifying them against delivery notes and purchase orders.
➢ Conduct thorough counts of received items and collaborate with relevant departments to ensure quality checks are performed.
➢ Allocate optimal storage locations for diverse materials based on their characteristics, usage and storage requirements.
➢ Implement effective warehouse organization strategies to maximize space utilization and facilitate swift retrieval.
➢ Promptly process Material Store Requests (“MSRs”), issuing materials to authorized personnel adhering to established procedures.
➢ Maintain complete records of issued materials and ensure comprehensive documentation for auditing purposes.
➢ Facilitate seamless internal transfers of materials between departments, promptly updating inventory records in the system.
➢ Collaborate closely with procurement departments to anticipate incoming materials and coordinate effectively.
➢ Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
➢ Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast demand and coordinate timely replenishment of inventory items.
➢ Ensure clear communication with relevant departments to confirm delivery details and address any discrepancies.
➢ Work closely with Quality Control (“QC”) managers to uphold stringent quality standards for received materials.
➢ Document and report any discrepancies or quality issues promptly for resolution.
➢ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
➢ Prepare and submit necessary documents such as Goods Receipt Notes (“GRN”), MSRs, and internal transfer forms in accordance with protocols.
➢ Utilize the system proficiently for effective inventory management, including issuance, transfers, and reporting.
➢ Conduct periodic inventory analyses to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and recommend appropriate action, such as stock disposal or markdowns.
➢ Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for inventory optimization and cost reduction.
➢ Generate relevant reports and ensure timely data updates within the system for real-time tracking.
➢ Adhere strictly to safety protocols governing material handling and storage within the warehouse.
➢ Proactively promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff to maintain a safe working environment.
➢ Assume responsibility for safeguarding critical items such as stamps, passwords for key applications, and physical stock, ensuring their security at all times.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, or Supply Chain Management).
➢ Prior work experience of at least 2 years (including internship) in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
➢ Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams and meeting project deadlines.
