An exciting opportunity is available in Slagger Company for Sr Supervisor Mechanical Furnace Based in Jizan.


About the role:


Furnace Supervisor oversees multiple mechanical teams in performing preventive, corrective and repair maintenance for smelter plant equipment including electrodes, hydraulic systems, pumps, conveyors, fans, compressors, piping, tanks, valves. plan and assigns his teams by redirecting resources to meet service requirements and prioritised maintenance, as well as reviews maintenance work and recommends improvement initiatives to achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Also deploys teams to manage Equipment breakdowns.


You will be responsible for:


  • Planning maintenance schedules and activities to minimize downtime.
  • Prioritizing work schedules for PMs, repairs, rebuilds and maintenance.
  • Directing and supervising plant technicians to achieve the work safely
  • Ensuring compliance with SHE policies.
  • Maintaining clean and safe work areas and Implement 5S
  • Managing and reporting workplace incidents and safety breaches.
  • Review of quotes for materials and supplies.
  • Scoping and estimating costs and timeframes for maintenance work.
  • Reviewing completed works.
  • Follow up and close the Work order in SAP.

Minimum Qualification:


Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.


Minimum Experience:


8 years of experience or more in heavy industries.

  • Deep and professional Mechanical engineering knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge and hands on experience of multi mechanical works and repairs including pumps, conveyors, compressors … using vendors instructions, OEM manuals and drawings.
  • Experience in smelter plants or similar industries.
  • Excellent knowledge in troubleshooting mechanical problems and analyzing possible causes and participating in RCFA.
  • knowledge in fabrication, welding and machining works.
  • Excellent experience in assembly, disassembly of equipment in addition to installation and dismantling supervision on site.
  • Good knowledge in maintenance overhaul supervision, including material handling, control on consumables, tools, checklist implementations.
  • Good reporting skills and experience in using CMMS for work orders follow ups and updates.
  • Good experience in doing jobs as per safety requirements and standards.
  • Good knowledge of Safety Work Permits requirements including hot work, and confined spaces.
  • Good record of Complying with safety requirements and encouraging your team in working safely.
