Job Description

The Sr. Static Design Engineer plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing sector, particularly in the design and analysis of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, innovative thinking, and a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards while also being cost-effective.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and analyze static equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Conduct stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Prepare detailed design documentation, including specifications, calculations, and drawings.
  5. Review and approve vendor drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
  6. Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design processes.
  8. Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of design-related issues.
  9. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the design process.
  10. Mentor and train junior engineers to foster professional development.

  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  3. Proficiency in design software such as PVElite, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  6. Proven experience in project management and leadership.
  7. Strong understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  9. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
