Job Description
The Sr. Static Design Engineer plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing sector, particularly in the design and analysis of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, innovative thinking, and a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards while also being cost-effective.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze static equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, including specifications, calculations, and drawings.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design processes.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of design-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the design process.
- Mentor and train junior engineers to foster professional development.
