The RoleAs a member of AspenTech's Custom Interfaces and Applications Team, you will play a crucial role in estimating, designing, developing, and integrating tailored software solutions for our electric and gas utility customers. Your responsibilities will include creating interfaces between AspenTech DGM standard products and third-party systems, as well as developing custom functionality to meet specific, customer-specific requirements. You will lead efforts in process and application standardization and drive the adoption of AI and automation to boost development efficiency. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and consultation for projects involving partner companies who serve our global customers.Your Impact
  • Design and implement software solutions for customer-specific needs.
  • Organize and lead design workshops with customers.
  • Install, integrate, configure, and test software solutions on customer systems
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality.
  • Assist in defining procedures, standards, and methodologies reflective of industry best practice
  • Define and implement AI, automation, tools, and workflows to drive efficience and quality
What You'll Need
  • Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant discipline.
  • 12+ years relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in software design and development; C and Python preferred.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites up to 20%.
  • Knowledge and understanding of common software design patterns such as ETL
  • Experience working with and/or establishing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with or knowledge of middleware and/or message delivery systems such as Kafka, NATs, Apache Camel, REST APIs.
  • Experience with IT, OT, and/or IOT systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience implementing modern industry best practices for software design and development.
  • Experience with or knowledge of electric power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Proficiency in technical writing.

The salary range for this role is $146,900.00 - $183,600.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
