Job Description

Eram Talent is seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Maintenance Instrument Engineer to enhance our team in the Oil & Energy industry. As a part of Eram Talent, an independent Talent Acquisition Consultancy, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of instrumentation systems for our clients.


In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.


Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Maintenance Engineering work related to all instrument equipment.  This role is spread across an envelope or site vs. a “Maintenance Engineer,” who is normally tied to a plant.   
  • 1.    Serve as a subject-matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root-cause investigations.
  • 2.    Provide engineering support to plant issues impacting production over a short period of time.
  • 3.    Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluate equipment’s durability and conditions.
  • 4.    Ensure that requests for equipment critical to work process include engineering input on repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc., and if necessary provide onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from this data.
  • 5.    Ensure that repairs, repair techniques, equipment specific training, are documented and accessible.
  • 6.    Support the PPM coordinator as required in reviewing spare parts’ list for existing equipment.
  • 7.    Develop maintenance’s operating discipline and provide maintainability input to projects.
  • 8.    Enter QSPP information into the reporting system.
  • 9.    Participate in developing the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy.
  • 10. As required, provide engineering input to work packages to ensure standards are followed.
  • 11. Provide input on development of work orders, particularly on critical equipment that requires engineering review.
  • 12. Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes.
  • 13.  Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager. Ed.
