ob Summary:
Under the supervision of the Exhibitions & Conferences Director, the Sr. Events Officer is responsible for Conducting all aspects of external events from conception through to completion. This includes understanding, Engaging & developing an overview of the target market, pre-planning, operations and logistics of events with all concerned stakeholders.
Administrative Responsibilities:
1. Implementing the setting goals, initiatives and plans for the department and develop their execution at the department level.
2. Engaging with day-to-day activities and operations, including implementation of all policies and procedures, and recommend potential improvements where appropriate.
Functional Responsibilities:
1.Develop an overview of the target market (contractors or parties involved in the contracting industry), including future peer group e.g. Saudi Build Expo.
2. Identify different type of exhibitions and conferences that SCA would like to host based on well-defined criteria and facilitate relevant approvals to do so.
3. Engage with selection & partnership with different event management companies to assist in organizing and coordinating events.
4. Implement all decision making related to the event, in close consultation with concerned business owners (e.g. business development department), if applicable.
5. Conduct the overall preparation of external events, including all logistical / administrative arrangements, required inspections, and all other matters.
6. Coordinate the development of the promotional campaign and material with the Marketing & Communication department.
7. Act as the second point of contact to internal and external stakeholders relating to the planning and operation of the external event.
8.Work alongside the Marketing & Communication department to support the development of the marketing and communication plan as well as ensure effective public relations is conducted for the event.
