To provide leadership in the design process, guiding junior designers and collaborating with other team members to develop innovative and efficient precast concrete solutions.
• Design Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the design team in creating innovative and cost-effective precast concrete software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, for creating technical drawings efficiently and accurately and should stay updated with the latest software developments and techniques to enhance productivity.
• Conceptual Design: Lead the conceptual design process, working closely with architects, engineers, and clients to develop initial design concepts that meet aesthetic, functional, and structural requirements
• Detailed Design: Oversee the development of detailed precast concrete designs, including panel layouts, connections, reinforcement details, and fabrication drawings.
• Formwork Design: Develop formwork designs for casting precast concrete elements, considering factors such as geometry, concrete flow, demolding requirements, and efficiency in manufacturing.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers to integrate precast concrete elements into the overall building design, resolve design conflicts, and ensure seamless coordination throughout the construction process.
• Project Management: Communicating regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Conducting rigorous testing and inspections of precast elements to verify compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing facility and on project sites to protect workers and the public from hazards.
• Interpreting Specifications: Produce detailed drawings, 3D models, using software such as (AutoCAD, REVIT) to illustrate designs and communicate technical details.
• Drafting Software: Proficiency in design software such as (AutoCAD, REVIT), and familiarity with structural analysis tools (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Concise, Prestressed software).
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve design challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to precast concrete design and construction and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design decisions, drawings, specifications to provide a clear record of project evolution and facilitate future reference or modifications.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in precast concrete design.
• Design Development: Creating detailed designs, drawings, and specifications based on project requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
• Visualization and Presentation: Creating visual representations of design concepts and proposals through sketches, renderings, or digital models to communicate ideas effectively to clients.
• Interpreting Design Requirements: Must interpret and understand engineering designs, sketches, and specifications to accurately translate them into technical drawings.
• Adhering to Safety Standards: Ensuring that drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations is essential to maintain safety and quality in mechanical engineering projects.
• Document Management: They may be responsible for organizing and managing a library of technical drawings and related documentation, ensuring that they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
