Specialist III, TQM Job

Advanced smelting Industries Co. (ASIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee.

The smelter is situated in the Jizan Economic City and is designed to smelt ilmenite (Titanium rich mineral sand) to produce Titania Dioxide slag and pig iron. The plant consists of two Electric Arc furnaces, each with a capacity of 250kt slag and 125kt pig iron. The slag that is produced is tapped from the furnace and processed to be used as feed stock for the titanium chlorination and sulphuric acid processes to finally produce Titanium pigment which is mainly used in paints and plastics.

Specialist, Total Quality Management

An exciting opportunity is available for Specialist - Total Quality Management, based in Jizan who will report directly to Manager, Process Technology & BI. 

 Summary:

We are seeking for a motivated Specialist, TQM who will:

• To implement, maintain and develop Total Quality Management systems at the Jizan Slagger. Responsible for the maintenance of ISO standards certification as well as the adherence to other applicable quality and business regulations. Cascading of quality objectives into all aspects of the organization and the development of appropriate key quality performance indicators.

In this role, you will be responsible of:

• Lead the development and improvement of total quality management systems including document control system, audit management systems, quality databases, intranet page, and nonconformance and corrective action systems.
• Lead and maintain the internal and external audit program scheduling.
• Lead and maintain the coordination of the collection and presentation of QMS data for management and reporting purposes.
• Supports the coordination of QMS communication and change management activities.
• Accountable for the accuracy and quality of data, information and communication material related to quality systems and processes.
• Regularly develops improved methods for systems and processes in the delivery of quality results.
• Manage projects related to TQM and other improvement projects

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in science or industrial engineering.
• 5 - 10 years of working experience in a QA or TQM position within a heavy industrial production environment.

Required:

• Experience in the implementation, maintenance and development of Total Quality Management systems.
• Hands-on experience with ISO and other international quality systems requirements.
• Experience in continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
• Experience in hosting and leading customer and regulatory audits/inspections.
• Experience in internal auditing as part of maintenance of ISO certification.
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience in leading teams and working cross functional.
• Able to work with a diverse team of technical and non-technical people.
• Able to teach others in technical and systems aspects.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
• Must be effective and self-motivated.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly computer literate and well experienced in Microsoft Office.
