2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
To perform all underground and surface survey related work. (Make exact measurements and provide data relevant to the shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of land or land features on or near the earth's surface for mining, purposes.) 3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Qualification:
High school certificate with Maths and Science Officially recognised Survey certificate or diploma
Experience:
4 Years Mining experience (2 Years practical Surveyor experience)

* Ensure accurate survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites * Contribute to accuracy in executing new panel layouts * Assist with performing underground surveys (gather and analyse underground information) * Perform general survey calculations * Prepare data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys (with guidance) * Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed (limited supervision) * Contribute to ensure 100% effective management of water; Survey bodies of water to determine navigable channels and to secure data for construction of structures * Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments * Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, and other characteristics of terrain * Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy * Record the results of surveys including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features * Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using theodolites, transits, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS) * Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features (with guidance) * Analyse survey objectives and specifications to prepare survey proposals (with guidance) * Participate to plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements * Adhere to criteria for survey methods and procedures * Strict adherence to HSEQR regulations, processes and procedures * Comply with all applicable legal requirements * Ensure compliance to product requirements
