Job Description

System Design and Implementation:

Design Support: Assist in the design and specification of AV systems, including audio, video, and control systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and technical standards.
Installation: Oversee or perform the installation of AV equipment, including mounting, cabling, and connecting devices.

Configuration and Testing:

Configuration: Configure AV systems to ensure optimal performance, including setting up audio and video components, calibrating displays, and programming control systems.
Testing: Conduct thorough testing of AV systems to verify functionality, performance, and integration with other systems.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Support: Provide technical support for AV systems, addressing issues reported by clients or internal users.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to AV equipment and systems, including connectivity issues, equipment malfunctions, and software problems.

Maintenance and Upgrades:

Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on AV systems to ensure continued operation and reliability, including software updates and hardware inspections.
Upgrades: Implement system upgrades and recommend new technologies to improve system performance and capabilities.

Documentation and Reporting:

Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of AV system designs, configurations, installations, and maintenance activities.
Reporting: Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.

Client and Stakeholder Interaction:

Client Communication: Interact with clients to understand their AV needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure their requirements are met.
Collaboration: Work with project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation and system integration.

Technical Expertise:

AV Systems Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of audio-visual technologies, including audio systems, video displays, projectors, and control systems.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining AV equipment and systems.

Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze system performance and implement improvements.

Communication:

Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Customer Service: Ability to provide high-quality customer service and support.

Project Management:

Educational Background:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-I) are preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in audio-visual systems, with a track record of successful installations, configuration, and support.
