Job Description

The Spare Parts Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in the automotive industry, focusing on sourcing and acquiring spare parts for various vehicles. This position is essential for ensuring that automotive dealerships and repair services maintain an adequate inventory of parts to meet customer demands. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the automotive supply chain and demonstrate excellent negotiation skills to secure the best prices and terms from suppliers. With a minimum of two years of experience in procurement, the specialist will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, analyzing market trends, and optimizing inventory levels to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure high-quality spare parts are sourced.
  2. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent stock shortages or excess.
  4. Collaborate with the sales and service teams to understand spare parts requirements.
  5. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing fluctuations.
  6. Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and inventory levels.
  7. Implement procurement strategies that align with the company's financial goals.
  8. Resolve any issues related to supplier performance or product quality.
  9. Prepare reports on procurement activities and present findings to management.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
