Role Purpose


To organize and project manage NEOM Space strategy development and implementation plan. Be an integral part of advancing space ecosystem in NEOM.


This position is essential to ensure space department has the capabilities to deliver the services which we are responsible for and be visible to all NEOM.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES



  • Manage space workstreams and partners and advise the management on concepts, strategy, implementation, and governance of space and its projects.
  • Manage the benchmark of the future NEOM space ecosystem against regional and global benchmarks and propose initiatives that relate to NEOM’s vision.
  • Manage the drafting of NEOM Space use cases across relevant regions, sectors, and BUs.
  • Examine key requirements and provide technical expertise for the development and operation of strategic space segments and projects, including Earth Observation, satellite communication, space exploration, and other space segments that fit NEOM.
  • Manage the creation of Space Strategic KPIs and process improvement techniques and support the evaluation of the performance on NEOM Space Strategy development.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders and manage them to align interests, coordinate project goals, discuss expectations, facilitate execution, and track and report progress.
  • Manage development plans and deliverables of the space strategy, coordinating with relevant units for project budget and schedule management.
  • Foster communication and collaboration among project groups and management through meetings, emails, presentations, and documentation.
  • Manage the space technology development roadmap and assist in establishing strategic partnerships map and integrating multiple organizations on space projects.

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS



Knowledge, Skills, and Experience


  • Proficient in use of collaboration tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and video conferencing software
  • Commitment to excellence and demonstrated achievements in past efforts.
  • Cross-cultural communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Writing and presentation skills and discuss technical in specific detail and at a high level for various customers, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to break down complicated technical and tasks into manageable pieces.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to define and execute the details necessary to implement a high-level vision.
  • No less than 5 years of experience working in strategy and space systems.
  • Experience with project leadership and management of budget, scope, and schedule.
  • Experience with strategy, RDI and governance.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of Bs in Engineering Degree
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in related field
