Job Description
Job Purpose:
As a Solar PV Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of solar PV
systems, driving sustainable energy initiatives and shaping the future of renewable energy
solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Design solar PV systems and prepare all related drawings, including General Layout, 3D
Layout, Single-Line Diagram (SLD), Structural Side View, Foundation Layout, Stringing
Layout, and Shop Drawings.
• Perform necessary calculations, such as tray sizing, earthing, cables management
• system sizing, lightning, Breakers, and other relevant engineering assessments.
• Load calculations using STAAD and SAP.
• Prepare Method of statement and submittals.
• Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for projects, ensuring accurate material and
cost estimations.
• Project Management: Oversee solar projects from conception to commissioning,
coordinating with teams to meet timelines.
• Technical Evaluation: Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies using solar
resource tools.
• Installation & Commissioning: Supervise or participate in system installation and ensure
compliance with electrical standards.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring systems and develop maintenance
plans to ensure efficiency.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet industry standards, codes, and
regulations.
• Client Interaction: Conduct site visits, engage with clients, and address technical
queries.
• Cost Estimation: Assist in project cost estimation and bid preparation.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records and support the preparation of project
documentation.
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure client satisfaction and provide post-project support.
Requirements• Education: Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
• Experience: 2-5 years in solar projects.
• Skills: Proficiency in solar PV design, project management, technical evaluation,
installation, and regulatory compliance. Strong communication, planning, and client
relationship management skills are essential.
• Preferred Certifications (a plus):
o SEC Solar Installer
o SEC Solar Designer
o PMP (Project Management Professional)
o Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
