The RoleAspenTech is looking for a web applications Software Developer to join our Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) Team. As a Software Developer, you will be involved with the design and development of new features, ensuring we deliver innovative and user-centric experiences with a high standard of quality. The solutions you will be involved with enable the integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), such as Solar and Wind Power, by employing industry standard communication protocols including OpenADR and IEEE 2030.5.

Your Impact- Develop and support an ecosystem of full-stack web applications to automate software design, build, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with other developers, architects, and stakeholders to design and implement best -in-class software.
- Design and implement reliable, performant, and fault tolerant code based on requirements and/or user stories.
- Ensure reliable code by developing unit tests.
- Assist in code and design reviews.
- Train and mentor other team members in your area of expertise.
- Take part in agile team ceremonies such as scrum, sprint planning, and retrospective.
- Investigate, isolate, and identify solutions to reported software malfunctions.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
- 2 - 4 years of experience with object orientated programming languages such as Java, C#, and/or Python.
- Experience with TypeScript and web development frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Experience developing and using RESTful web services.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, MongoDB strongly preferred.
- Experience using Git and GitHub for source control.
- Experience in identifying, communicating, and resolving problems in a collaborative, professional manner.
- Basic experience with user interface design and adjusting approach to user interaction and feedback.
- Understanding of algorithms and complex data structures.
- Experience with OpenADR, IEEE2030.5 and/or other related protocols a plus.
- Opportunities to travel may arise but are not required.
The salary range for this role is $90,200.00 to $112,800.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
