Job Summary:
The Social Media Content Creator is responsible for developing and executing engaging and relevant content across the hypermarket's social media platforms. This role aims to build brand awareness, drive customer engagement, promote products and promotions, and ultimately contribute to increased sales and customer loyalty. The ideal candidate is creative, data-driven, and possesses a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices within the retail industry.
Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Management:
- Develop and curate high-quality, visually appealing, and informative content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X, etc.).
- Create content that aligns with the hypermarket's brand voice, values, and marketing objectives.
- Produce diverse content formats, including photos, videos, stories, reels, live streams, and graphics.
- Plan and schedule content calendars to ensure consistent and timely posting.
- Manage and maintain the hypermarket's social media accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Create content that highlights weekly deals, seasonal promotions, new product arrivals, and in store events.
- Create content that highlights the quality and freshness of the produce, meat, and bakery departments.
- Community Engagement:
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all social media platforms.
- Foster a positive and engaging online community by interacting with followers and addressing their inquiries.
- Run social media contests, giveaways, and polls to encourage participation and engagement.
- Address customer concerns and feedback professionally and promptly.
- Social Media Strategy & Analysis:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Analyze social media performance metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, impressions, website traffic) and generate reports.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize content strategy and improve performance.
- Identify and track relevant social media KPIs to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Monitor competitor social media activity.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate with the marketing, e-commerce, and merchandising teams to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns.
- Work with graphic designers and photographers to create visually compelling content.
- Coordinate with in-store teams to capture relevant content and promote in-store events.
- Work with suppliers to highlight their products.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service through social media channels.
- Direct customers to the correct department when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation, preferably in the retail or FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective algorithms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite).
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of current social media trends, especially those relating to food, and retail.
- Ability to work in a fast paced enviroment.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
